Flying High...

Good afternoon...

Just squeezing in a little card to support the June Challenge at lovely Handmade Bliss.  If you have n't had a look there already, you really should visit...
The first thing to say though is thank you to Fi and the DT there because I would never in a month of Sunday's made a card in these colours were it not for the challenge being a colour theme!  I was fairly happy with it in the end, and i was able to add three little gems in the corner which means I can also enter this week's Challenge at
Papertake Weekly - trio-tastic!

I used the gorgeous Stamping Bella Tiny Townie '- Blossom Loves Balloons.

I coloured her with Copics and added a dubious looking cloud formation! along with Glossy Accents to a balloon and some sparkle to her frock with a Clear Gelly Roll Pen.

I used Core d'inations Cardstock embossed with clouds and sanded and some papers from the Lili of the Valley Winter Wishes collection to create layers.

I added some twine and some adhesive gems as a simple embellishment.

...and here we are Tiny Blossom ... loving balloons... perhaps a little too much!

Fashionista...

Good Afternoon...
The new challenge at
is Anything Goes (with a Sugar Nellie Image).

The prize for the lucky winner is four Sugar Nellie Digital Images, and there is a second prize winner of two Sugar Nellie Digital Images from
My DT card to showcase this fun challenge is made with the gorgeous
Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Digi - Fashionista.

I coloured her with Copics and used sandy and blue Papermania card along with papers from Pink Paislee's 'Pen Pals' Collection (big gooey sigh 'cos these are gorgeous papers), to create mats and layers.

I embossed a piece of sandy coloured card with a Darice Bricks embossing folder.  I cut some bricks out and distressed the card with Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad. (I used a bit of the same distress ink around the edge of the image as well).  I want to say thank you to Lizzy Smith at Color Kitty for inspiring me to use an embossing folder in such a clever way.

I then cut out some teeny tiny flowers to embellishment the wall and added some navy blue and white Baker's Twine.

...and here we are, an adorable Fashionista...

The Great Outdoors

Good Morning
This week's Challenge at
Creative Inspirations
Is
Male Creations...

The prize for the lucky winner is a
£10 gift voucher from
Cult Pens
For todays DT card, I decided to use a digi I have used several times in the past for card commissions.

It is absolutely perfect for those men in our lives who love the great outdoors and enjoy wandering here and there!

It is a lovely digi stamp from Little Claire called
Great Outdoors

I coloured the image with Copic markers and used Kraft card and papers from
Kaisiercraft 'Outdoor Trail' collection to create mats and layers.
The map is a piece I printed using the computer, and the sentiment is also printed
using the font 'Apple Chancery'.  The sentiment could of course be varied to Father's Day for this week!

Man's Best Friend...

Good Afternoon...
Today's card is for the lovely Lili of the Valley Design Collective.
My love for all things Lili is no secret and at the moment, well I have to say
there is an awful lot to love!

There is a special offer on some of the newly launched papers, sentiments and art pads;

Look here for all the details!

...and as if that was n't enough to have us Lili fans swooning there is another fabulous offer - a whopping 25% off all Lili Christmas goodies until 25th June!

All the details of that offer can be found here

Today's card is made with the adorable stamp 'Man's Best Friend'
This is just a perfect subject for me given my love of my adorable girls Ruby Roo and Phoebe Mouse.

I coloured this super image with Prismacolor pencils.  To be honest, I had pretty much given up on my pencils.  They were gathering dust on the corner of my table and I had virtually decided to sell them.  I thought though that I should give them one last chance and after a bit of practice, this card is what I came up with.  You can of course all speak freely,   I respond well to feedback, but perhaps I should hang on to them for a while?

I used some papers from the new Lili of the Valley Collections,
Romance and Roses and Dress Shoppe to create layers and the strip of paper across the card is from the Bonnets and Bowties collection.

The background is a piece of Core d'inations card stock embossed with clouds and sanded.

Finally I added a Father's day sentiment from Lili of the Valley's
Greetings Postmarks - Set 18 and some twine and a little star button.

Here we are then 'Man's Best Friend' (and from where I am sitting, 'woman's' as well)!

Beauty and the Beach

Good Morning...
The new challenge at
Summer Fun

The prize for the lucky winner is a £10 gift voucher from our lovely sponsors
Mary and Andrea at
Today's card came about almost by accident.  I have just joined in, for the first time, with a card swap event and I was very lucky enough to be partnered with Paola Jofre
the very talented artist behind the gorgeous digi's at

This adorable beach babe is one of Paola's designs - 'Pheobe';
she is gorgeous and is just perfect for this challenge.

I coloured her with Copics and went for a more CAS design,
I think she deserves to be the centre of attention!

I used Lawn Fawn and an MFT Die to cut the papers and added a few (only a few ...honest!) embellishments.

I had a fight with the Glossy Accents to make the lenses on her lovely shades',
(oh yes! and this time I reckon I won!)...

Here we have her, glamorous Pheobe, who I, unfortunately do not resemble in any way, shape or form, except that I do sometimes have the odd glass of something pink!
